Medical title

The provision of medical attention can be life-changing and sometimes life-saving for an orphan, as well as helping to enhance quality of life.


Striving to help orphans overcome physically challenges through surgeries (cleft lip/palate, heart, hernia, eye, etc), blood transfusions, hearing aids, and other medical procedures that will correct a physical issue or improve quality of life.


Providing medical equipment or supplies such as medicines, walkers, wheel chairs and therapy tools that add to enhanced health or mobility.




[ 2019 Medical Care ]

 Leg Braces

December 2019-  Teens Randy and Enid will benefit greatly from specialized leg braces that will aid in their mobility.  Their movement challenges are affected by cerebral palsy.


 Upcoming Surgery

December 2019- Beautiful Gwen is in need of medical intervention to correct and relieve the pain in her neck.  We trust that she will have her surgery soon and quickly be on the road to recovery and out of pain.  

 Medical Evaluation

September 2019-  Young Jayson is receiving a medical evaluation to best determine treatment for possible hydrocephalus.

 Customized Wheelchairs

September 2019- Customized wheelchairs are making a huge impact to meet the individual needs of orphans.  Not only are they valuable to the child, but also the caregivers.  Hope's Heart is grateful for this opportunity to provide wheelchairs that improve daily life for five children.  


Physical Therapy

September 2019-  Meredith has begun receiving ongoing physical therapy to help improve her mobility.  This sweet five-year-old will benefit so much, and we are anxious to hear how she improves.  

 Medical Revision

September 2019-  Ian is in need of revision surgery following a complication from a former surgery. We're grateful to join with others to help give Ian a new lease on life through financial support of his upcoming surgery.

November UPDATE- Ian came through surgery without complications, has been discharged from the hospital, and continues his recovery under the loving care of his foster parents.

 Life Changing Cleft Surgery

September 2019-  Cleft repair surgery, whether the lip or the palate, is life changing for children born with a cleft.  It is our pleasure to help support the repairs of Finn, Ben, Keaton, Kolby and Lisa.



November UPDATE- With the exception of Keaton who has not been strong enough to undergo surgery yet, the other four children have had successful repairs.

  Four Cleft Surgeries

July 2019-  Changing a child's life and future brings with it satisfaction that can not be measured. This month four children received life changing surgeries... two cleft lip repairs and two cleft palate repairs.  Join us in celebrating a brighter future for Rylan, Marley, Darien, and Lucy.


August UPDATE- All four children have had successful surgeries and are on the way to recovery and a brighter future.


The Gift of Surgery for Daniel

June 2019- Daniel was able to undergo a tendon release surgery which is expected to help with future walking and mobility.  After casting and recovery, we expect Daniel to have greater freedom in movement. It's our honor to help provide his medical treatment.

September UPDATE-  Daniel's foot is looking much better.  He can now walk independently and his gait has improved! 



March 2019- Something as simple as a walker can make a profound difference in a child's life.  Doesn't Sam look overjoyed with his new walker that is giving him new hope for greater mobility?


 Cleft Lip Surgery

March 2019-  These two adorable little guys, Hartley and Theo, have received a life-altering cleft repair that will provide them better health and a promising future. 



Routine Medical Needs

January 2019- Orphan care requires the ongoing fulfillment of routine oversight like medications, eye drops, vaccinations and well check-ups.  Hope's Heart is thankful for the opportunity to help fund some of these ongoing expenses for a group of visually impaired little ones.


Medical Treatment

January 2019-  Sweet Monica has been receiving chemo treatments for a rare eye cancer.  We are grateful for the opportunity to help fund some of her treatment.  

March 2019 UPDATE-  Sadly, Monica lost her battle with cancer.  She is now in the arms of Jesus in heaven.

Power Wheelchair for Mobility

December 2018-  Mina resides at an orphanage in China and has some limitations in her mobility.  Replacing her present wheelchair with a power chair will be transforming .. giving this sweet teen new freedom to get around. We extend appreciation to Hope's Heart partners who help provide this special gift for a special girl.  Below are Mina in her old chair [left] and the new power chair [right].



  Two Little Ones to Receive Cleft Palate Surgery

November 2018-  Four year old Daniella and two year old Jeffrey are scheduled to receive surgery to repair their cleft palate later this month.  This is the next step in healing [since receiving cleft lip surgery] for these two special children.


UPDATE-  We rejoice in the successful surgeries for Daniella and Jeffrey.  Both have been discharged from the hospital into the continued care of their caregivers.  A brighter future is in store for them.

 Hospitalization for Burn Treatment

October 2018-  As a reult of an unfortunate accident, a little boy named Kayden was burned on part of his body.  Thankfully, he was immediately taken to the hospital and is now receiving treatments.  We're thankful to be able to join with others in supplying the funds needed for his hospital care.  Your prayers are greatly appreciated.

November UPDATE: Kayden has been discharged from the hospital following treatment. He will continue to heal back at the orphanage.

 Medical Evaluation

October 2018- Baby Harland was in need of a medical evaluation to determine the cause of fevers and often feeling ill. We're thankful to play a part in his healing.

Update:  After evaluation and treatment, Harland has been released from the hospital into the care of healing home nannies.  We will continue to support his care at the healing home.

Pictured is Harland at one year of age in the spring of 2019. He is an adorable little boy who is becoming more active and inquisitive.  

 Medical Care for Visually Impaired Orphans

September 2018-  A brand new outreach we have joined is medical intervention for visually impaired orphans.  Through partnership with a well-established and exemplary organization dedicated to serving VI orphans, Hope's Heart desired to make a positive impact on the lives of these treasured little ones. 


New Power Wheelchair

September 2018-  Mobility is critical.  Unfortunately, weak hands and a spinal condition have kept Brilynn from moving around.  She was thrilled to receive the gift of a brand new power wheelchair. Now mobility is a reality for Brilynn.

Newborn Baby Needs Heart Surgery

August 2018- Baby Palmer was born this month with a serious heart defect.  Once he is strong enough to undergo surgery, it will be arranged.  Please keep this tiny one in your prayers.

October UPDATE-  Thankfully, Palmer made it through surgery and his initial recovery.  He was released at the end of October to continue recovery at a healing home.  

Cleft Lip Surgery 

August 2018-  Cleft lip surgery is a life-altering procedure that is giving baby Judah hope for a healthier life and brighter future.  Judah had surgery in mid-August.  We can't wait to see his new smile!


October 2018 UPDATE-   We celebrate the success of Judah's surgery.  Thanks to the donors who helped make it possible.  

Eye Treatment/Surgery

July 2018-  Sadly, it was determined that Monica has a rare eye cancer.  She is receiving chemo treatments that will be followed by eye surgery.  Please keep this sweet little girl in your prayers.

Heart Evaluation and Surgery 

May 2018-  A congenital heart defect resulted in the critical need of a heart evaluation followed by surgery for baby Gage.  We are thankful he has recovered from surgery and the initial hospital recovery time and is now continuing recovery care at a healing home.

July UPDATE-  Back home with his nannies, Gage is building strength and energy after being in the hospital.  He is eating and sleeping well and feeling much better as evident in his updated picture.  


Surgery for Newborn Nina

March 2018-  Abandoned within days of her birth, Nina has been hospitalized for testing and evaluation to determine the best course of action for complex heart defects.  In the meantime, she has successfully gone through anoplasty surgery.  

Critical Care and Surgery

January 2018- Newborn by girl, Mya, required immediate hospitalization following her abandonment and finding.  She is currently being treated and has undergone a life-saving surgery.

March UPDATE- After a difficult journey, sweet Mya has been discharged from the hospital into healing home care.


May UPDATE-  Mya is doing well and gaining weight steadily.  Doctors believe she doesn't need to have her heart repaired right now; and will continue with follow-up echoes.

May 2019 UPDATE- We couldn't be happier to announce that beautiful Mya was adopted this month!  She is now with her forever family. 

Cleft Lip Surgery

January 2018-  Corine will soon have the opportunity to have her cleft lip repaired.  It's a joy to be part of her healing. 

February UPDATE-  Following a successful surgery and initial recovery, Corine has been discharged back to the orphanage.

April UPDATE-  From the recent picture below, you can see how wonderfully Corine's cleft lip repair has healed!

  Cleft Palate Surgery

November 2017-  Two year old Susan received life changing cleft palate surgery this month.  It will make a huge difference in her life.

September 2018 UPDATE-  Beautiful Susan has been adopted!!

Heart Surgery

November 2017- Two month old Jerome needs immediate corrective surgery to repair a heart defect.

December UPDATE-  Jerome has successfully come off the ventilator following open heart surgery.  Your continued prayers are appreciated.

January 2018 UPDATE-  Jerome was discharged from the hospital and is now receiving continued care for recovery at a healing home.

March 2019 UPDATE- Jerome is an adorable bundle of energy who responds delightfully to his nanny's tender care and attention.  

Four Cleft Lip Surgeries

October/November 2017-  Sweet babies Kimberly, Ruth, Taryn and Chase will receive corrective surgery on their cleft lip  giving them the best chance at a healthy life. 

November UPDATE- All four babies....Taryn, Kimberly, Ruth, and Chase's ... have had completed and successful surgeries!


Hospital Care and Testing

August 2017- Baby Jimmy suddenly began have seizures.  He was hospitalized for testing and treatment and released back to the healing home eleven days later.  

Critical Medical Care

July 2017- A child's age doesn't make any difference when critical medical care is needed.  Newborn baby Griffin needed hospitalization and immediate medical treatment to survive.  Fourteen-year-old Diana just completed a much needed heart surgery which went well.  Griffin remains hospitalized with continued medical attention.  


September UPDATE-  Griffin has healed well.  Look how wonderful Griffin is looking.  A special thank-you to donors who invest in life changing medical care.

Five Children with Medical Needs

May/June 2017-  Because of  our generous donors, we are able to help support the medical needs of five more little ones: Ann Marie [hospitalization for intestinal issues], Brent [orthopedic surgery], Sully [life-saving esophageal surgery], Harlow [eye surgery] and Morgan [eye surgery].   


Life Saving Hospitalization

March 2017- Weak and suffering from pneumonia, preemie Tessa was admitted to the hospital for life saving treatment and care.  We are grateful to our donors who helped cover some of Tessa's hospital cost.   

April UPDATE-  Thankfully, Tessa has been discharged from the hospital and is now residing at a healing home for continued care.  Doesn't she look wonderful?

Heart Surgery

March 2017-  Medical care is usually needed for most orphans; some more urgent than others.  In Robb's case, his need is for timely heart surgery, which will most likely be scheduled next month. Please keep Robb in your prayers.  

Medical Treatment for Pneumonia

February 2017-  The winter cold weather can be life threatening for a frail baby.  It is our pleasure to help support the hospital costs of baby Christine as she receives life saving treatment.

March UPDATE-  Thankfully, Christine is responding well to treatment.  We hope to hear soon that she is able to be released from the hospital into healing home care.

April UPDATE- Christine has been discharged and is resting comfortably in healing home care.

Hospitalization of Premature Baby Girl

January 2017-  Baby Connie was born prematurely and required hospitalization for life saving care. Hope's Heart is honored to help fund the treatment that will allow her to grow healthy and strong.

February UPATE-  Connie has responded well to treatment and was able to be discharged from the hospital  to a healing home for further care.

Hospitalization for Pneumonia

January 2017-  Baby Hadley and Baby Callen have been hospitalized for treatment of pneumonia. We trust for their quick and complete healing; and are pleased to contribute to their hospital care. 


February 2017-  Following successful treatment, both babies were discharged from the hospital.

[ 2016 Medical Services]


November 2016- A series of immunizations administered over a period of time help protect infants and young children from potentially life threatening diseases.  We are pleased to help fund some of these medical costs.  

 Emergency Hospital Care for Joanna

October 2016- Born with a life threatening medical condition, Joanna was rushed to the hospital for critical surgery.  Her life was saved, and Joanna spent the next month in the hospital.  We were honored to join with others to help fund Joanna's surgery and hospital stay. 

January 2017 UPDATE-  Joanna has healed well.  After a couple months in healing home care, Joanna is ready to join her adoptive family.

Orthopedic Correction

September 2016-  Baby Seamus will be needing casting/bracing treatments to correct one of his knees that is flexed the wrong way.  This gentle movement will help with his physical development.


August 2016-  Baby Fergus is experiencing pain from a hernia.  We are happy to help fund part of his surgery costs.  Little Rena is hospitalized as she gains strength for medical testing and potential surgery.


Orthopedic Evaluation

June 2016- An orthopedic evaluation by an orthopedic specialist will help determine the best plan of treatment for newborn baby Brent.

Seven Little Ones to Benefit from Cleft  Surgery

April 2016-  We are pleased to introduce you to Leo, Danielle, Charlie, Allyson, Samuel, Stephanie and LeeAnn.  These adorable children are slated to have their  cleft lip surgically repaired this month [with the exception of Allyson who will have her palate repaired].  What a life changing procedure this will be for each one of them.

 May UPDATE-  All seven of these special children received their life changing cleft surgery in mid-April.  Don't their repairs look wonderful?  They now have a much brighter and healthier future.




Hospitalization for Pneumonia

February 2016-  It is an honor to help support the hospital costs for newborn baby Walter to receive the medical attention he needs to overcome pneumonia.  Thankfully, he recovered well and is growing and becoming more active.


First Cleft Lip Surgery of 2016

January 2016- The new year began with wonderful news of baby Susan's successful cleft lip repair in January.  As you can see the repair was beautifully done.
